Nutrient Timing
One posting I would like to add today is about a book I read and loved called "Nutrient Timing" by John Ivy. I was watching a triathlon training show one evening and this book was broadcasted. I became interested and purchased it and loved every word in it. Not only is it informative, but gives you pre, during, and post-workout nutrition for optimal performance. Many intermediate weight lifters and athletes don't understand what to put into their body after their workout. This book is an easy read and the information is invaluable. I would highly recommend it for athletes and amateur fitness guru's. Attached it the link to amazon to view it.

P90x Thrill
Today was a great day to get a good run in but instead decided to do the P90x Plyometric workout. This brings me to a point of discussion as to the benefits of a workout like this to perform at least once a week when either trying to lose fat, gain strength, or circulate good oxygen to the working muscles while eliminating the toxins. Of course the better shape you are looking to achieve the more you should perform his routine. See exercise have more benefits then just the 6-pack physique, it eliminates wastes and improves oxygenation to working muscles, including the heart and lungs. This plyometric workout I just performed can be used for a large population ranging from novice fitness guru's to advanced athletes. I would put it in the class of high intensity interval training (HIIT) with my heart rate was dramatically lowering and peaking from 125 bpm (beats per minute) to 173 bpm. For you this may be different depending on a variable amount of factors including, fitness conditioning and dietary intake.
***Advice for the day: Perform at least 1 HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout a week to burn 200+ calories and increase metabolism to burn fat and decrease recovery! For more information regarding HIIT information check this authentic research article on this link!! http://jap.physiology.org/content/102/4/1439.full
